Life is all about having fun and making the most of what you have, right? This year, I changed a few habits of mine. From now on, I am renting my dresses instead of buying them. That’s because I hate to wear the same things more than a couple of times. And it’s good fun to rent! Not to mention that’s it’s cheaper than buying a dress I will only wear once or twice…The thing is, I like to try out new things and new designers. This is why I use Rentez-Vous for new styles and new clothes. You can read all about it here: http://blog.rentez-vous.com…Enjoy without moderation: this is a guilt-free fashion experience…and oh so French!
I have changed others things. For instance, I am finally coming to terms with the fact that it’s OK to make up my own rules, and that my own developmental pathway is, well, mine. I have tried so long to conform! I finally have my own vision of how life ought to be, and I try my hardest to live it. It’s not always easy, but come to think of it I have never been happier.
Finally, I am more relaxed. Or is it more British? I don’t know. Hear me out: I was travelling earlier this week. I went to a gym in my small village in Provence. It was pouring with rain, and I needed to run on a treadmill. I went to the changing room and realized that I had forgotten my leggings. Damn it. Going back home wasn’t possible, it would have taken too much time. What to do? Well, I trained in my opaque tights. My T-shirt was long enough to cover my bottom (well, most of the time anyway) and I had a good training session. Nobody made a comment. I was pleased with myself: a few years ago, I would have canceled my training session and died of shame. I remember not being able to enter my office once because I had one brown knee-high tight and the other was black. It’s fair to say that I have changed. Hopefully for the better?
What about you, what did you change this year?
